Whistling, a pre-Hispanic language, originated from the need of the native people to communicate across valleys, mountains and ravine without having to walk long distances.  It consists of whistling syllabic sounds with the help of the fingers inside the mouth.  Nowadays, very few people have kept up this tradition, although children now learn it as a subject at school.
